ARCHIVES: Paw Paw Pie






Well, liebe potmc members, I don't know what to say… I'm busy, really really busy. It isn't that I don't love you. I'm just busy. So… well of course it is really a little past paw paw season. But since, I bet, 99% of you have never heard of, let alone have access to these delectable fruits… the most tropical of temperate fruits… the “indiana banana”… well… I figured you wouldn't care.

Here it is: PAW PAW PIE (it's the pie of themonth)
Mix together:

1 cup milk
1 cup cream
3 eggs
¾ cup sugar
1 cup seedless pulp of paw paws

Pour into unbaked 9” pie shell. Bake @ 450° F for 15 min, then reduce heat to 350°F & bake 40 minutes longer or until knife inserted into center comes out clean. Enjoy with some whipped cream!
